While traveling through the French countryside with my husband and 8-month old I couldn't help but feel awestruck by the French culture. It seems as if every building, windowsill, and cafe holds such rich history and would make for the perfect photograph. It was in a film photographers paradise! But what I really was intrigued by was the everyday life of the French people.

Our story takes place in the hills of Levi in Finnish Lapland. Autumn comes early in the arctic circle and for our couple, the crisp fall weather was the perfect invitation for a morning snuggled up by the fire at their cottage.

Taiwan is one of those countries that I will never get tired of traveling to again and again. My love for the country started when I was a college student while there on a church mission trip and it continued to grow after my husband, who grew up in Taiwan, and I started dating and got married. It transitioned from solely being a place of rich history for me to another home away from home.

A group of Maui, Hawaii friends (and creatives) gathered to compose a table scene featuring an afternoon cake with local upcountry persimmons and coffee. The recipe was lifted from the pages of Julia Turshen's cookbook Small Victories: Recipes, Advice + Hundreds of Ideas for Home Cooking Triumphs.

love those plan your own adventure books and thought a sweet and savory toast bar would be perfect as everyone can just pick whatever toppings they wanted and honestly it required minimal cooking. At the most I boiled some eggs. The rest was all plating and arranging. I couldn't wait for them to come and see what combinations they would come up with from all the goodies I had for them.

When we first saw Hailey and Henry's beautiful session by the sea, we couldn't help but imagine this was straight from a Nicholas Sparks film. Lauren and Illya decided long before their wedding that they wanted to travel abroad. After researching, they realized this would be the perfect honeymoon after they tied the knot in New York. Soon after (their wedding), they embarked on their 6-month European honeymoon.

This shoot was inspired by my love of the sea, and all things coastal. I've been coming to the Gulf for 25 years with my family, and I've always envisioned myself having a second home here. I love the idea of having the opportunity to serve brides who see themselves committing their lives to the one they love in a place that they, too, have great appreciation and heart for.

From a design perspective, house plants are an opportunity to add warmth and energy. Home design is often about balance. When you have so many inanimate things, i.e. sofas, books, etc., adding literal life to a space ups the sense of harmony and completeness.

Sachi freelances as a floral designer and Joey is a chef. They met while working at a restaurant together and the spark of attraction was immediate (as Joey enthusiastically attests). Despite having moved into their new home just a few weeks prior to my visit, their cozy space was full of artifacts representing their talents and relationship together.
