Inspired by the slow living movement, we wanted to explore the concept of idleness through a photo essay that offers a view on finding solace in everyday hustle and making time for introspection.

Here, we have Becca and Eryck's beautiful engagement session and a peek into their life on the Big Island. Eryck was kind enough to share some insight to living and getting married in paradise. Lauren and Illya decided long before their wedding that they wanted to travel abroad. After researching, they realized this would be the perfect honeymoon after they tied the knot in New York. Soon after (their wedding), they embarked on their 6-month European honeymoon.

This shoot was inspired by my love of the sea, and all things coastal. I've been coming to the Gulf for 25 years with my family, and I've always envisioned myself having a second home here. I love the idea of having the opportunity to serve brides who see themselves committing their lives to the one they love in a place that they, too, have great appreciation and heart for.

From a design perspective, house plants are an opportunity to add warmth and energy. Home design is often about balance. When you have so many inanimate things, i.e. sofas, books, etc., adding literal life to a space ups the sense of harmony and completeness.

Sachi freelances as a floral designer and Joey is a chef. They met while working at a restaurant together and the spark of attraction was immediate (as Joey enthusiastically attests). Despite having moved into their new home just a few weeks prior to my visit, their cozy space was full of artifacts representing their talents and relationship together.

This inspirational piece set within the stately home estate of Port Eliot in Cornwall, England, focuses on bringing a sense of calm and embracing mindful moments on your wedding day. Your wedding day will likely be one of the most emotionally heightened days of your life and the pressure that comes with such a profound day can leave many brides feeling emotionally vulnerable; particularly in the hours leading up to the ceremony itself when this can be most keenly felt.

As you know, after a wedding many gorgeous blooms simply end up in the bin. Inspiration struck me one day, after a particularly beautiful set of used peonies were laying in the trash. In an effort to repurpose these lovely details, Jaimee Morse Photography, Maven Events/ Floral/Styling and I collaborated after three separate weddings to save these florals, label their blossoms, and preserve their beauty through photography.

With that in mind, I created these Chocolate Chip Earl Grey Scones using simple ingredients and a few drops of bergamot oil to give it that rich flavor. They don't take too long to make, although you do get your hands a little messy. But, it's a great recipe for a lazy weekend morning or brunch at home. Plus, the leftovers are wonderful heated up for your afternoon tea break!

a couple of new and old friends decided to take the time to get together to celebrate and admire each other's success and passion over a beautiful dinner and great conversations. We encourage everyone to take the time to do the same with their colleagues, everyone has so much to offer, and we knew we couldn't have done it without each other.
