Today on the blog, a home tour of a traditional adobe home in New Mexico, carefully furnished with a mixture of antiques and traditional crafts.

The Adelante House is a boutique guest house situated in the historic hidden gem of Javea, Spain—home to vineyards, plenty of outdoor activities, and over 20km of sandy beaches and secluded coves accented with turquoise waters. With three distinct parts of the town, one can get three vastly different experiences in one trip. Explore the ancient streets in Old Town, enjoy tapas and paella on an outdoor patio in the Port of Javea, or see what the nightlife is all about at famed club Achill in the Beach of Javea.

The house itself is a ranch style home built in 1935. The large horizontal windows have a Japanese feel that contributes to the peaceful quality of the home. It is important to respect the original architecture of a home or building, but not restore it to a fault so that it doesn’t function in modern times.
