Sam and Jenny’s Wichita Mountains Elopement
Sam and Jenny’s Oklahoma elopement (complete with all-black attire, champagne, and a pride flag) is one for the books! We simply couldn’t resist posting their perfectly Octoberesque wedding when it hit our inbox. Read on to learn more about their love story.
How did you meet?
We have known each other for two years. We actually met on a dating app called, HER.
When did you fall for each other?
Jenny: I really didn’t have a specific moment I just knew deep down inside that she was the one the second I laid eyes on her on our first date. I know that sounds cheesy but it was like instantly I felt like I was at home. She is my home.
Sam: My moment would probably be my drive back home from our first date. It’s like I knew she was the one I knew her somehow it was familiar. I was still very nervous and quiet at first but deep down I knew.
How did you get engaged?
Amanda: We went out with the family to bowling and came back home and cranked up the music and cracked open a beer. We were playing around and Sam was tickling me and we fell onto the ground. Then all of a sudden I hear marry me and I instantly said YES!!!!
On Vows:
We both wrote our vows..it had so much more meaning. We are keeping [them] private as they are very meaningful to us both.
What do you think you'll remember the most from your wedding 50 years from now?
Sam: that it was simple and amazing and we made a commitment that day to each other knowing that we would hold up our end no questions asked.
Jenny: I think I will remember that moment I stepped in front of Sam and looked her straight in the eyes and we grabbed each other’s hands. I just remember looking into her eyes…thinking wow I get to spent the rest of my life with her! I am so blessed and lucky!

What were each of your thoughts when you met for the first time?
Jenny: yep she’s the one ! She’s mine. Where is the ring at???
Sam: Wow. I thought she was gorgeous.
What is the kindest thing your spouse has said?
Jenny: I love you..all of you..the good the bad..every single thing about you.
What is the kindest thing your spouse has done for you?
Sam: Everything she does..I cannot narrow it down to one particular thing.
How did you feel when you saw each other for the first time on your wedding day?
Jenny: I was so nervous and shaking terribly bad leaning towards her and the moment she turned around omg she looked a solidly amazing and gorgeous. I couldn’t believe it that this time has really come.
Sam: [I was] very nervous, almost in tears already and I wasn’t even looking at her yet. It was the happiest day of my life to know I was making a commitment to the one I knew I was gonna spend forever with.
