We are so excited to share Jen and John's beautiful outdoor wedding today. Not only is this wedding beautiful, but I love how Jen and John made each detail so special to them - they made their “big party” so personable and special for every guest. How did you and your husband meet?
John and I met through mutual friends. We were setup on a blind date and have been pretty much insuperable ever since!

How did your husband propose?
We were in FL and he suggested we pack a cooler and go watch the sunset on our favorite beach, Anna Maria Island. The sun sets right over the water. It was freezing cold and windy that day, but we were committed. Just as the sun was setting John suggested I shake some of the sand of my blanket....when I turned around he was on one knee.

Tell us about planning your wedding. What elements were most meaningful to you?
We wanted our wedding to feel like a big party and not very formal. It was important for us to make the wedding about our families joining together, not just us as a couple. The wedding was on a farm and so we had the opportunity to basically build our venue. We had elements that were meaningful to both of us and our families such as, having our two golden retrievers there for pictures, having a memory table with pictures of our grandparents who couldn't be there with us, the table numbers and card box were handmade by my brother and many other decorative elements were created by my Mom.
