Slowing Down At Home
A Cozy home session with Caroline and Bram

This cozy at home session was photographed during the Belle Lumiere Workshop this past September in Charlottesville, VA.
It was clear from the very start of this session that Caroline and Bram were completely comfortable with one another and knew how to be and move with each other.
My approach to photographing the two of them was to keep it simple, I wanted to capture them how they naturally are with each other, and to keep it subtle so that my images were a true representation of their relationship.
One of the things I love about an at home session is it feels so much more personal. I really get to connect with my couples in a way that I wouldn't normally get to.
There's a different feel to these sessions, it makes you slow down and capture them in the moment. You're not rushing around chasing the light, moving to different locations, etc., you're just there photographing them in their home.
