Farm Thanksgiving

It is easy to get wrapped up in all the details of a Thanksgiving meal, but we think it should be about spending time with all those special people that you are thankful for. We love how Silver Cup Artist Alyssa Joy Photography captured this idea with this farm thanksgiving. A simply table made from washtubs and a farmhouse door made the perfect setting for a meal completed by all the guests bring a plate! Thanksgiving doesn't have to be about the perfect over the top table! This Thanksgiving consider splitting up the work and focusing more on having community with your family, friends, and neighbors. Jennifer Oatsvall, of Feather + Oak shared a bit about her inspiration below!

We wanted an uncomplicated and elegant feel but also a grand sense of location - allowing the setting to speak for itself. The door, salvaged from a long standing farmhouse on a beloved family farm, was the canvas for the day's abundance. The Civil War era barn inspired the use of wood handled flatware from the same era and beautifully complimented the heirloom china. The result is familial and historical, organic and collected.

Also, come back at noon for the recipe for the beautiful harvest cake!
