Hawaii on Film by Kailee Dimeglio

Hawaii will always hold a special place in my heart. I grew up there as a girl. It was only for a few years, but they were memorable.

Whenever we receive a submission from Hawaii it pulls on those memories, especially now in the summertime.

I thought you may like to see Kailee’s beautiful captures on film. Here are a few words she had to share about her submission:

My husband (Tim) and I promised each other we would travel every year to somewhere new/on our bucket list for our wedding anniversary instead of getting each other gifts. This past year was our first wedding anniversary so we went to Hawaii! I brought my Contax film camera and photographed the scenery. My husband hiked with my camera gear backpack everywhere we went! (He's so supportive! haha) I knew I wanted to photograph someone with a tropical floral crown so I got in touch with a local vendor (The Happy Haku). Thankfully one of our friend's Katie was also in Hawaii (on her birthday!) and agreed to let me photograph her in the crown for fun on film. The only digital is the last one of my husband and I. We had our friend Zach snap this photo of us together in Hawaii (after much explaining on where to stand and how to frame us haha).
