From vases and jars collected by the bride’s family to the handmade journals placed as table numbers for guests to write advice for the newlyweds to read on that year’s anniversary, Brent and Ashley chose to focus on details to cherish. Ashley, a photographer and designer, had a steadily growing list of details for her wedding day. But above all else she wanted her and Brent’s wedding day to be classic, elegant and welcoming for family and friends. Brent and Ashley cherish community and they intentionally chose details to help their guests have a glimpse into their love story.

From Ashley, “Selecting a photographer was actually above finding “the dress” on my list of priorities. Knowing that we would have so many personal details, I wanted to be sure to have those memories uniquely captured for us to cherish forever.”

Surprising her on the day of the wedding, Ashley’s father had secretly gathered sketches she had drawn for the reception. He created a custom cake and drink  backdrop compete with Edison bulbs, wine barrels and an old door frame which the newlyweds plan to incorporate in their home someday.

With a love as big as the Texas sky, Brent and Ashley wanted their wedding day to be a celebration of many generations, young and old.
