The moment we stepped inside the old abandoned hotel in the historic ghost town of Bannack, Montana, it felt like we’d entered into a forgotten dream world. I knew we had to create something special in it. Ideas began swirling around that involved the concept of dreaming, which seemed fitting as the hotel is a place where many people had rested their heads and dreamed in days past.

After a while, I stumbled upon this quote, which seemed like the perfect poetical inspiration for this editorial: "As midnight came, he named every star in the sky after her.” I was captivated by the idea of a boy loving a girl so much that he would go to the extent of naming every star with her name. I began imaging this girl drifting into a slumber under a sky of stars named after her and dreaming of her true love and their wedding day. So quite literally, this is our vision of a dream wedding. A quiet romance, full of soft, mysterious moments between the bride and groom.

Habitat Events and Florals perfectly executed the design and florals, with her the pièce de résistance being the floral and candle installation on the grand staircase. The Little North Sea studio created a stunning invitation suite, which included a calligraphed piece with the quote that inspired this editorial. Whipped went beyond our wildest dreams and designed one of the most original and captivating cakes inspired by the milky way and constellations of the night sky. The bride wore a gown by Anna Campbell from the dress boutique Velvet Bride as well as a custom rose gold ring by Susie Saltzman. These talented vendors were able to bring our dream to life and we are beyond thankful for them.
