I will never ever tire of capturing mamas and their babes. I love every minute of it. So when I had the opportunity to capture Charlotte-based, abstract artist Christina Cottingham and her beautiful family at home several weeks ago, I jumped at the chance! And I think I am still recovering from all the prettiness!! Pure bliss.
Christina’s stunning, oversized works of art set the tone for each room throughout their charming, white-washed, light-filled Tudor. Probably too many adjectives for one sentence but I can’t help it. To say I was overstimulated would be an understatement. I was truly in heaven. Her vibrant pieces were like jewelry for each space. Each one complemented a room with the perfect balance of modern furniture and gorgeous antiques. A fresh take on Southern charm. I couldn't help but think what a magical place this would be for a child to grow up. You could tell this was the home of an artist. You could ‘feel’ it. Stunning. All of it.
