Enchanting Dinner with Ronin Cooking Farm

Photographs by Ryan Price

Meet Ronin Cooking. Nestled in the country roads outside of College Station, Texas is a culinary gem. On a lush and whimsical farm, the Light family and their team use vegetables that they’ve grown to execute seasonal tasting menus for those lucky enough to get a spot in one of their Full Moon Dinners. The name "Ronin" comes from the Japanese meaning "samurai with no master." The Light's were inspired by Brian's experiences working for famous Iron Chef Morimoto at his namesake restaurant in Philadelphia and at other award-winning restaurants like Aries in Houston. Now, armed with an education in French and Japanese cuisine, the Light's have ventured out on their own - masterless.

Organic and fanciful images captured through a film camera, each picture tells a perfectly imperfect story. Ryan Price is a natural light photographer, combining both analog film and digital cameras to create unique imagery.
