Elegant and Traditional Bridal Inspiration

Simplicity is key for us. We love being able to see a bride on her wedding day and not be distracted by the design around her. But that the design supports her and reflects her neatural beauty, emotions and hope on the day. Claire Duran shares her inspiration for today's inspiration with this in mind.

Often times a single element provides all the inspiration that we need. In this case it was one of Gossamer gowns. Its unique beauty communicated what else would be needed to bring the gown to life. And the answer was very little. This bridal portrait session reminds us how simple beauty and elegance do not equate to over-doing. Our bride, minimum jewelry, natural makeup, her side bun, soft florals, a solitaire, a vintage ring box, and the amazing beauty of the marble columns at the Jefferson Memorial came together to perfection with our inspiration element. This shoot, beautifully captured by Elizabeth Fogarty, is still a celebration of simplicity; a celebration of when less makes more.
