Artists inspired by Artists
Artists often draw inspiration from real life, nature, and life experiences. However, photographer Hannah Park became interested in pulling inspiration from other artists of other disciplines. In an effort to learn more about their craft, she decided to document the journey the best way she knows how - using her own art of photography.
I've always been fascinated by the behind-the-scenes beauty of artists. Without seeing the process behind creation, the final product wasn't whole. I wanted to know what the hours dedicated to a painter, blacksmith, ballerina, or potter looked like as they created their masterpiece.
I began reaching out to artists in my community and the first one, a painter named Rachel, was a gem. After graduation, Rachel began painting what she knew would sell in Austin, Texas - longhorns. Several months later, uninspired, she was challenged by a mentor to note what she regularly falls asleep thinking about. The answer was easy, skies. Now Rachel uses the beautiful deep blues she dreamed about to paint stars and galaxies and cloudy Texas landscapes.
