An Elopement on the Amalfi Coast

An Elopement on the amalfi coast

What’s not to love about the luxurious Amalfi Coast? Heather Payne shared some divine inspiration created and curated by Joy Proctor - a lovely way to start your Tuesday.

From Heather: This inspirational shoot was stationed and styled just above the Mediterranean Sea at the Hotel Caruso in Rovello with a focus on architecture, landscape and love that emanates from this artful city. Originally a palace built in the 11th century, the hotel is the definition of Italian luxury.

Designer, Joy Proctor, designed an elegant old world look set against the historic architecture and ruins of the Ravello palace. “To highlight the delicate juxtaposition of natural beauty and the true artisan talent reflected in the architecture and art, I chose a color palate of light blue, cream, gold and ochre,” said Joy. “I chose the ruins of the old Roman baths as the backdrop for our dinner table, which I set with antique monogrammed silverware, detailed stoneware china and delicate etched glass champagne coupes. Ornate gold candelabras and candle sticks lit the table just as the owners of the palace may have done centuries before. I placed taper candles into the frescoes surrounding the dinner table, and chose a beautiful gold cake stand for the cake — which was also placed into a fresco.”
