We've always known that we would live on this land someday, we just didn't know how long it would take to get us here. We spent years clearing away trees and preparing this hillside to someday hold our forever home. Our farmhouse.
Travis and I both grew up in small towns, just across the state line from each other, so having land and a homestead where we could raise our family was a huge dream of ours. I've lived on this piece of land since I was 13 years old, when we moved a couple of miles out of our tiny little town to the country.
My parents worked really hard to make this place beautiful, and now they, along with my brother and his family, are our closest neighbors. We've all built our homes on this ground and we're so thankful for the life we have here.
Building our farmhouse was an unforgettable process and it was such a blessing. I loved designing and working with our builders, and they truly became like family to us. We couldn't imagine spending our life anywhere else.
