Tell us about your family.

My family is my biggest support group. I have been so blessed with such amazing people in my life that love, cherish, and value each other immensely. My husband and I have been together 6 years and we have a beautiful 16 month old son and new baby girl expected this March. Together we have created a warm and welcoming home I could only dream of. Most days you will find me entertaining my son with a lot of ball playing in our backyard and photographing his sweet smile. My son loves to be outside as much as possible, so we try to get out there and play as much as we can. When my husband gets home from work, we enjoy dinner together as a family before the little man’s bath time and bedtime. It’s these simple moments that I cherish the most. We are so very excited to be welcoming our precious baby girl in just a few weeks. We have learned to embrace every moment because they seem to fly by way too fast. And thankfully we both have the best parents and siblings to treasure these moments with.

How is Ever and Anon unique? What drives your art?

My hope for Ever & Anon is to really showcase the beauty in every person and evoke feeling in an organic way. All the while capturing it through the gorgeousness of medium format film. Ultimately, the people drive the inspiration behind my art. It’s their stories being told. Their lives being documented. Each is unique and beautiful. Treasured for a lifetime.

What do you want your clients to take away from having you as their photographer?

My biggest goal is that my clients walk away feeling cherished, valued, and appreciated. I not only want to provide them with the most beautiful imagery from their session or wedding, but to know they have been truly cared for throughout the whole process. A lot of my clients have become dear friends because they are some of the most amazing people that I am so excited to have in my life. It’s their story, their legacy that they are allowing me to be a part of. To me, there is nothing more sacred and special.

What do clients need to know on their wedding day or during a shoot?

To just enjoy yourself and be you. Be the beautiful you that you are.

What is your biggest fear?

My biggest fear is not being good enough, both in my business and my personal life. I am a perfectionist and something motherhood has taught me is there is no such thing as “perfect.” Now I just want to be good enough at what I do, at motherhood, at being a wife, at cleaning house, and being a photographer. To continue to try my best each and every day while living a balanced life. Some days I feel like superwoman and others I am your regular-mom-trying-to-do-her-best-at-life-and-work. With God’s grace, I know I can achieve all things I set my mind to.

What are you most interested in learning how to do right now?

I have several things I am dedicating this year to learning and mastering. Styling, calligraphy, encaustic painting, watercoloring, floral design, and gardening. I love working with my hands and creating art, so all of these inspire me and make my heart so very happy.
