The Homecoming Issue - Love in the Details

We are so honored to share another story from The Homecoming Issue today - one that truly reflects the ‘meaningful’ aspect of our mission for our Chapter Two of the issue. This styled shoot was all about the details, but not in the typical sense. The details were about the people behind the details coming together to create a backyard elopement. Sometimes those people are professional artists, like this stunning team, and sometimes those people are friends or family.

Whether your artists are named "the nation's best" or simple Aunt Kay, it can be easy to forget the amount of work and love poured into every bloom, swipe of icing, threaded button, click or unwrinkled linen. And when you have a good team, this group of wedding professionals who truly see their work as art and truly believe love is the best work, your "perfect" wedding finds its perfection not in the style, size, trend or expense, but in the heartfelt details - details that define the unique love between you and the man beside you.

Rhi of Hey Gorgeous Events took this idea and created something so lovely and true to the mission of Cottage Hill. She created a styled shoot that was a true story about the hearts behind the wedding. And Jen of Jen Lynne Photography captured each meaningful detail beautifully. Be sure to pick up a copy of The Homecoming Issue at you local Barnes & Noble

The ‘behind the scenes’ are probably my favorite part of this story. If you’d like to read more about the artists’ experience creating this editorial, check out Rhi’s post here and Jen’s post here
