Loudoun County Engagement by Jodi Miller Photography

We love Jodi and Kurt. They captured some of our very first Cottage Hill Originals (see here and here) and are always so kind and excited about what they do. So today we have a lovely engagement session they photographed. Katie and Scott chose to have their session at The Goldstone Inn and we eager to see these photographs as a reflection of who they are as a couple - sweet and charming. Here's more from Katie:

For our engagement session we wanted to try to capture the laid-back feel of Loudoun County - where I grew up and where we currently call home. We felt that Middleburg, and especially the Goodstone Inn, was incredibly charming and captured this relaxed feel the best. Similar to our wedding venue, as soon as we saw the property in person we knew it was the place for us. We also wanted our engagement photos speak to who we are as a couple and we felt Jodi & Kurt were able to capture just that.

We have always joked that only good things happen when it rains. Every major milestone in our relationship has involved rain - first dance, first kiss, our engagement, you name it. Thus, it came as no surprise to us that the clouds would follow us to the Goodstone Inn for our engagement shoot. In the days leading up, we intently watched the weather forecast which predicted only clear skies and plenty of sunshine. However, right as we were arriving to the Goodstone Inn, the clouds opened up. We have learned to embrace our typically wet conditions, and enjoy being together, rain or shine.
