Water by Ever + Anon - Part One
In the ocean I loved to drive under waves. Fear would bubble up when I saw a wave I was sure I couldn’t handle coming my way. A quick drive and then pure peace. The only evidence of the chaos above where the small tugs on my hair. Whenever I would come back out of the water the waves would be gone and silence would have set over the ocean.
Don’t we all need a little bit of water to wash away the things of this world. As the year comes to a close sometimes I wish a huge wave would head my way to wash everything away and leave just the silence. The things that clutter our lives with tasks and distractions eventually take over. Call it whatever you want but in the end it is bondage. Take time to wash away the things that don’t matter. To set down the phone, walk away from the task, say no to unneeded projects. Instead find restoration in eliminating and life in nurturing your soul and relationships.
